Health damaging risks stemming from the work environment may not only be of physical origin. Psychosocial risks are all those psychological, economical, and social factors that may negatively impact the physical or mental health as well as the well-being. Increased stress leads to health damage and to a drastic decline in the employee’s work performance. This costs a lot from the employer’s perspective too due to the missed working hours, increased fluctuation, decreased satisfaction and commitment from the employees.

The most common reasons for prolonged sick leave, long-term inability to work, or performance deterioration are the so-called stress diseases, moreover, based on an extensive European study, one third of the employees specifically named their work as being the lead stressor. Costs associated with stress in the workplace make 10% of the gross national product based on a study performed in Western countries. People tend to care about being overburdened too late, when the harmful (frequently irreversible) consequence has already developed, despite the fact that harmful effects could be prevented, and initial dysfunctions could be treated well. We provide an opportunity for both prevention and stress management with our services that were specifically developed for companies.

The amendment of the Act XCIII of 1993 on Occupational Safety and Health effective from January 1st, 2008 made employers being responsible for the management of psychosocial risk factors on a statutory level of occupational safety.

According to the legislation, all those effects that have an impact on the employee at the workplace count as psychosocial risks (conflicts, work management, work order, the uncertainty of the employment’s legal relationship), which influence the reactions given by the employee to them, and stress, occupational injuries, psyche-induced organic (psychosomatic) diseases may develop.

According to the legislation, it is the employer’s task to assess the psychosocial risk factors at least every three years, for which the employer may assign an external partner.

In our psychosocial assessment packages, we assess the occurrence of burdens and protective factors of work with online tests based on which the organization can develop adequate strategies to optimally support the employees.

Our packages:

Basic package

Our assessment is limited to the risk evaluation that is consistent with the legislative expectations. Once an online test is completed, we prepare the organization’s risk analysis and risk assessment document broken down by every working group.

Health plus

In addition to the occupational safety risk assessment, our extended package assesses the health related habits and the dominant lifestyles choices of the employees, which provide support to design and organize programs at the workplace that target health improvement. In this assessment, we also provide recommendations on how to improve the employees’ well-being along with consultations in this regard.
