    National Center for Spinal Disorders

The National Center for Spinal Disorders is the only hospital in Hungary that virtually covers the full spectrum of diagnostics and treatments of disorders of the spine.

The Center evolved from the Semmelweis University Orthopedic Clinic, Department of Surgery and Rehabilitation, in 1995. For several years it was integrated into the Central Military Hospital and the State Health Center, then became totally independent in 2005.  It is currently being operated by the Buda Health Center, Kft.

The founder and current Director General is Peter Paul Varga, MD.  The medical staff includes general, orthopedic, trauma and vascular surgeons, rheumatologists, anesthesiologists, intensive care specialists, radiologists, psychologists and others (urologists, gynecologists, neurologists, ophthalmologists, otolaryngologists, etc.) who perform the comprehensive examinations and treatments of the patients with disorders of the spine.

The Center is known and recognized worldwide for the complex thinking method regarding the treatment of spinal disorders and those medical phylosophical innovations that were born in the Center and became universally accepted spine care treatment methods.
