Thyroid gland package
The thyroid gland is located at the neck, in front of and on the two sides of the thyroid cartilage. Its function is regulated by the pituitary gland that is controlled by the brain; among other things it has an effect on the central nervous system, circulation, metabolism, and growth too. Its function may be disturbed by e.g., an infection, medicinal treatment, or other autoimmune diseases due to which hypo- or hyperfunctions could develop. The laboratory test package includes the analyses of the TSH, fT3, fT4 hormone levels.
