When will the examination begin? When will it be my turn?
The order in which the patients are called in is up to the gastroenterologist on duty that day.
When will I be allowed to drink?
As long as you have no complaints, you may drink 30 minutes after waking from the anesthesia.
When and what will I be allowed to eat?
You may have a light dinner on the evening of the intervention.
When will I be able to go home?
As long as you are without complaints, you may home two hours after waking from the anesthesia.
Will I be able to drive following the examination?
No.
Do I have to come back for the results?
No, you will receive the doctor’s report immediately after the examination.
I didn’t bring any clothes with me. Will I have to change?
Yes, you need to change, but, we supply disposable clothes.
Will the person accompanying me be allowed to come in the examination room with me?
Yes.
Will I be able to turn in bed?
Yes.
How will I return to my room?
An orderly will return you to your room on a gurney.
Will I wake up during the examination?
No.
