Measurement of Total Body Composition

Examination
By measuring the whole body composition, the mineral contents of the body, we can determine the ratio and mass of fats and soft tissue (muscle) and, depending on the location of the body fats and the type of obesity, the risk factors of certain diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, etc. may be determined in time.
Through the measurements, we may obtain information regarding the effectiveness of exercises and any changes in muscle-fat ratio resulting thereof. Information regarding blood fat and cholesterol levels may also be obtained.
By comparing the results obtained herein to the Body Mass Index, or BMI, we can determine whether our current body mass, or weight, is within normal limits.
